Is everything really grey?

Yes. Every single item we sell is grey. Not "mostly grey" or "grey-ish" or "grey with a hint of blue." Grey. We use spectrophotometric analysis to verify each product's color profile. If it's not grey, it doesn't make it to our shelves.

What counts as grey?

We accept colors that fall within the neutral grey spectrum, from near-white (like Fog #E8E8E8) to near-black (like Charcoal #36454F). The key is that the color must be neutral—equal parts red, green, and blue in varying intensities. We do not accept warm greys (with brown/yellow undertones) or cool greys with noticeable blue or purple undertones.

Why grey?

Why not grey? Grey is the color of sophistication, of rainy days and cozy evenings, of concrete jungles and natural stone. Grey doesn't shout for attention—it simply exists with quiet confidence. In a world of visual noise, grey is peace.

Can I return an item if it looks slightly different on my screen?

Absolutely. We understand that monitor calibration varies, and what looks like perfect slate grey on our screens might appear slightly different on yours. All returns are accepted within 30 days, no questions asked. We want you to be happy with your grey.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Grey knows no borders. We ship to over 40 countries worldwide. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Please note that customs duties and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Is your packaging also grey?

Of course. Our shipping boxes are grey corrugated cardboard. The tissue paper inside is grey. The thank-you card is grey with grey ink. The tape is grey. We even use grey packing peanuts (they're actually made from recycled newspaper, which is conveniently grey).

What if I receive an item that isn't grey?

This should never happen, but if it does, please contact us immediately. We will send a prepaid return label, issue a full refund, and launch an internal investigation. Someone in our Color Verification department will have some explaining to do.

Do you have a physical store?

Yes! Our flagship store is located in Portland, Oregon. The address is 50 Shades Lane (we didn't name the street, but we did choose the location). We're open Tuesday through Sunday, 10am to 6pm. The store is very grey. You'll love it.

Can I suggest a product?

We love hearing from our customers! If you've found a grey product that you think would be perfect for our collection, please use our contact form to tell us about it. Include the product name, manufacturer, and—most importantly—its exact shade of grey. Our buyers review all suggestions.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

Yes, we offer gift wrapping for $5 per item. The wrapping paper is grey (matte), the ribbon is grey (satin), and the gift tag is grey (letterpress). We can include a personalized message, which we will print in grey ink on grey paper.

Are your products sustainably sourced?

Sustainability is important to us. We prioritize products made from recycled materials, sustainable forests, and ethical manufacturing processes. Being grey doesn't mean being irresponsible. We publish an annual sustainability report (printed on grey recycled paper, naturally).
